April 1, 2026

Community Solutions North West is delighted to announce it has been awarded a £7,000 grant from the Community Foundation for Lancashire to deliver a targeted programme supporting women across Lancashire.

The funding will enable Community Solutions to provide a series of personal development courses alongside vital counselling support for women experiencing social isolation, low confidence, and poor mental wellbeing. The programme aims to create safe, supportive spaces where women can rebuild confidence, improve their wellbeing, and develop the skills needed to move forward positively in their lives.

Through a combination of structured learning and one-to-one support, participants will be empowered to connect with others, strengthen their resilience, and take meaningful steps towards improved mental health and social inclusion.

Chris Emmerson, Chief Operating Officer for Community Solutions said “We are absolutely delighted to receive this funding from the Community Foundation for Lancashire. This grant will allow us to expand our support for women who need it most, helping them to regain confidence, reduce isolation, and improve their overall wellbeing. We are incredibly grateful for their support in making this programme possible.”

The initiative forms part of Community Solutions’ ongoing commitment to improving wellbeing and reducing inequalities across Lancashire, ensuring individuals have access to the support they need to thrive.
