Community Solutions North West Receives £60,000 Boost from People's Postcode Lottery

Community Solutions North West is delighted to announce that it has been awarded £60,000 through the People's Postcode Lottery's Millionaire Street funding programme, providing vital support for the charity's core services and helping to ensure the continuation of essential support for local people.

The funding will help Community Solutions North West continue delivering a wide range of services across Hyndburn and East Lancashire, including wellbeing activities, befriending support, volunteering opportunities, community programmes, and practical assistance for people facing loneliness, isolation, financial hardship, and other challenges.

Unlike project-specific funding, this grant will support the charity's core operations, enabling the organisation to remain responsive to community needs and sustain the services that local people rely upon every day.

Chris Emmerson, of Community Solutions North West, said:

"We are incredibly grateful to People's Postcode Lottery and the players whose support makes grants like this possible. Core funding is invaluable for charities because it allows us to keep our services running, support our dedicated staff and volunteers, and continue responding to the needs of our community. This £60,000 grant will make a real difference and help us continue supporting people across Hyndburn and East Lancashire."

Community Solutions North West supports more than 1,600 people each year through its community programmes, providing thousands of hours of support and creating opportunities for people to improve their wellbeing, build confidence, and connect with others.

The charity would like to thank People's Postcode Lottery players for their continued support of good causes across the UK.
